Synopsis
Homa faces a terminal illness, and has not heard about his brother Arash for a long time. Chasing his dreams, Arash has gone to Kenya, so Homa packs her backpack and sets off on a bicycle journey from Marseilles, visiting the locations he has traveled through. On the road she finds a new perception of life. Once a Woman is a movie about individuals learning about themselves, others and the world.
Director
Jalil Akbari Sehat was born in Iran in 1970. He received a diploma in Film Directing and a BA in Communications. He was the artistic editor of the IRAN newspaper, and is a member of the Iran Society of Film Critics and Writers, also the owner, managing director and editor of the New Cinema weekly magazine. Once a Woman is his first experience as a film director.
