Ghasideh Golmakani was born in Tehran in 1984. She moved to Paris to study Art History and Cultural Studies at Sorbonne. She started making movies after her return to Iran. Self-taught, Ghasideh had made several documentaries and ‘making-of’s for Iranian masters, like Reza Mirkarimi. Besides movie making she is also the author of a biographical book about Ali Abbassi (the most renowned producer of the New Wave, before the Iranian revolution).
