Amir Razi, born in 1960 in Tehran, graduated in Theater from the University of Tehran and started as a director and scriptwriter. He made the award-winning documentary “Blood in the Flowers of the Carpet” before moving to the Netherlands in 1989 to study filmmaking, where he created the acclaimed short film “The Red Fish.” In 1999, he won 12 international awards for “A Rose from Africa.” Invited by the UN in 2000, he returned to Iran, winning several awards at the Fajr International Film Festival.
