On the mountainous, wooded and foggy heights in the north of Iran, a big mistake disrupts a love story. Families fall apart and the older generation cannot help the younger one. The old are disappointed with life, confined to their homes and in pain, whereas the young, inexperienced and wild, seek a new way of life. The price at which expiation can be granted is loss, destruction and insanity.
Born in 1970 in Malayer, Iran. His short films have been selected in festivals like Cannes, Venice and Berlin. He was awarded more than 100 prizes at national and international festivals for his short fiction and documentary films. In 2005 he made his first fiction film «Writing on the Earth», which was selected in the same year by Venice Film Festival and many other festivals around the world.
